While the episode count is still unclear, season two will be wrapped up before March, when Koenig and Snyder come to Boston to host a program called “Binge-Worthy Journalism,” presented by the Celebrity Series of Boston. Serial is giving Bergdahl a chance to tell his side of the story, unfolding in “eight to 10-ish” episodes, according to Koenig.
In May 2014, Bergdahl was released in exchange for five Taliban prisoners held at Guantánamo Bay. Earlier this year, he was charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.
